Raspberry Heritage
Raspberry Heritage is our favourite out of the Raspberry Range. Its medium sized firm, deep red colour with an excellent delicious flavour and has a high yield.
Planting deciduous edible plants during the winter (and early spring) is one of the best time to plant, as plants are without leaves they are dormant (no active sap flow), so there is no transplanting shock. Mix your existing soil with some nice organic matter (like compost) and use that as your planting mix, firmly pack this mixture around the plant than cover the area around the plant with a good layer of mulch. Come spring the plant will grow quickly with the mulch preventing weeds growth around the base of the plant as well as keeping moisture in the soil (repeat the mulching early summer).
