    Dragonfruit (pitaya) is a tropical cactus and has an exotic appearance with its juicy fruits. It offers a visual captivating display adding a touch of the tropics to your outdoor space or on a sunny patio.

    Dragonfruit is low in calories but high in fibre and antioxidants with a good level of iron and magnesium. Simple cut the ripe fruit in half and spoon the eat or peel the skin and cut pulp into pieces. Add to salads, add to breakfast cereals with chopped nuts or make a Dragonfruit smoothly

  • Growing Conditions

    Dragonfruit prefers a sunny well draining position, needs to be protected from heavy frosts. Has few or no spines. Some support structure is beneficial to support the long stems (For example a standard rose wheel). Dragonfruit tolerates some drought but maintain good water supply when fruiting.
