Blueberry Sharpe Blue

$0.00

Blueberry Sharpe Blue has dark blue medium sized fruit. The 'Lily of the Valley" flowers are cream-white. Blueberry Sharpe Blue is suitable for the warmer regions (only requiring a low chill) It has a vigorous upright growth habit and is suitable in the garden, or ideal as a container plant and used as a hedge.

Although self-fertile (no other blueberries are required for pollination), additional plants or a different variety will increase the yield.

As with all Blueberries, the health benefits of Blueberries are unrivalled from mental health benefits, heart health, bone strength, skin health, blood pressure, cancer prevention, plus many more.

Blueberry Sharpe Blue is an early ripening variety with a lovely sweet flavour. After turning blue, leaving the blueberry on the plant for 5-7 days will enhance the flavour. Plant in full sun but will tolerate afternoon shade. Remove dead, diseased or weak wood, prune in late summer, remembering that blueberries fruit on second year wood. All Blueberries enjoy a good mulch to ensure the shallow roots don’t dry up over the summer months.
