Blueberry Sunshine Blue

$0.00

Blueberry Sunshine Blue has heavy crops dark blue medium sized fruit and nice, sweet juicy flavour. The 'Lily of the Valley" flowers are cream-white with a pink tinge. Blueberry Sunshine Blue is suitable for the warmer regions (requiring a low chill) It has a semi-dwarf growth habit making it ideal for container growing or anywhere in the garden or used as a hedge. Sunshine Blue has great red to purple autumn leaf colours.

Although self-fertile (no other blueberries are required for pollination), additional plants or a different variety will increase the yield.

As with all Blueberries, the health benefits of Blueberries are unrivalled from mental health benefits, heart health, bone strength, skin health, blood pressure, cancer prevention, plus many more.

Blueberry Sharpe Blue is an early ripening variety. After turning blue, leaving the blueberry on the plant for 5-7 days will enhance the flavour. Plant in full sun but will tolerate afternoon shade. Remove dead, diseased or weak wood, prune in late summer, remembering that blueberries fruit on second year wood. All Blueberries enjoy a good mulch to ensure the shallow roots don’t dry up over the summer months.
